Woman announced suicide on Facebook, no one helped
Thu Jan 6, 2011
It is certainly tragic anytime someone ends their own life, but is it necessary to imply fault on all of her "friends" that did nothing? Consider this: One friend said that intentional ODs were fairly common for this person and that she has a history of crying "Wolf!" (my paraphrase).
Bushels of "Smurfberries" cost parents buckets of cash
Thu Dec 9, 2010
Did the CEO really defend this option for the "adult power-player"? Seriously? These are SMURFS, people! If someone is old enough to own a credit card, they are way too old to be smurfing it up in their spare time.
Sarah Palin pulls few punches in 'America by Heart'
Wed Nov 17, 2010
Thanks for putting words to my thoughts. Irony? You Betcha!
Sorry, Vatican! 'The Simpsons' aren't Catholic
Thu Oct 21, 2010
Didn't the Vatican also recently rate "Blues Brothers" as a top Catholic movie? Sure, Jake and Elwood were "on a mission from God" to help their knuckle-rapping nun (AKA "the Penguin"!) save the orphanage, but SERIOUSLY? Do those at the Vatican who are reviewing pop culture really GET pop cult …
Not charmin': Man hurled toilet roll at whistling janitor, police say
Fri Oct 15, 2010
Did someone's mommy never explain that it's not always all about YOU? Wonder how he'll react if other inmates really DO whistle at him...
Judge won't let man call himself 'Boomer the Dog'
Thu Aug 12, 2010
He should re-petition, but only to change his first name. Keep the family name, and just go by "Boomer Matthews". Anyone know who Norman J Esiason is? Of course not - you only know him as former NFL QB "Boomer" Esiason!
'Loving' boy accused of slashing throats, setting fire to his home
Fri Jul 23, 2010
For those who can't understand how a kid could possibly do the horrific things he is suspected of doing, I ask this question: Do you honestly think you will find a logical reason why someone does something so illogical? I have worked with deviant people in my profession, and have been to some rea …
Would you try to avoid going to the hospital in July or on a weekend?
Thu Jul 15, 2010
I would be curious to see if there is any particular diagnosis that follows the spike in deaths. At the hospital where I work as a discharge planner, we have noted a spike in July and August in COPD admissions. To me it makes perfect sense - hot and humid weather exacerbates breathing issues.
Lawyer: Notoriety could stiffen 'Barefoot Bandit' sentence
Mon Jul 12, 2010
I don't know, mc. I think working to earn the things you want and being a productive member of one's community ARE pretty cool things.
Lohan's parents react to daughter's sentence
Wed Jul 7, 2010
This kid has had ample opportunity to choose a different path, and now this is the natural consequence of her poor choices. The judge warned her - If you do THIS, you remain free. If you do THAT, you will go to jail.
